I have been teaching soldering in the valley for over 4 years and thought it was time to start offering an open studio style workshop and one on one personalized lessons. I am really excited to see what people have taken away from my workshops and see how they applied what they learned to their own creations. See workshop descriptions below.

Solder Technique Studio Workshop:
Please keep in mind the open workshop is not a structured class. I will not be teaching soldering, I am only there to assist and help you move forward. You have to bring your own project and supplies.  If you soldering iron is not meeting your needs or not up to par, you can rent a temperature control, iron, and stand for $5. 

Have you taken a soldering class, bought all the supplies but still find
yourself staring at the soldering iron not sure what to do?  Now you can bring your unfinished projects, soldering iron and soldering supplies to get personal help at an open studio workshop.

Are you having problems with: glass cutting, wrapping your piece with copper tape, solder that runs off your soldering iron tip, bumpy soldered edges despite your best efforts, solder that looks too thin?  Whatever the problem may be, we can work together to get you over that stumbling block.

For group workshop (the open studio workshop) the prerequisite is you have to have taken a soldering workshop and you will bring a project and your own supplies. The workshop is open for 2 ½ hours, limited to 6 people per workshop and the cost is $30 per person.

Personalized Soldering Session:
If you are thinking of taking up soldering or already have the supplies and would like some one on one time to get you going, take a personal individual lesson.   There is no prerequisite and you don’t even need supplies. You just need to be ready to learn.  Private classes are 2 ½ hours long and you have to live (within the greater Phoenix area).
